Book
The book "Tampere 1918 -A Town in the Civil War" offers a deeper perspective into the events of the Finnish Civil War and contains a number of rare photographs. The Finnish version of the book was one of the candidates in 2008 for the Tieto-Finlandia Award, which is Finland's most significant non-fiction award.
"Tampere 1918" is a convincing result of the cooperation between the University of Tampere's Department of History and Philosophy and Tampere City Museums. The book is a visually impressive, balanced and versatile depiction of the events of the Finnish Civil War in Tampere. (Tieto-Finlandia jury's statement)
